Tracy began riding around 8 years old and quickly determined that jumping was her passion so the western saddle was traded in for an english one and she never looked back.
Tracy purchased her first event horse, a TB mare named Bold, in 1992 and over the next 7 years Tracy and Bold competed in events across the Midwest and beyond. In 1997 Tracy and Bold completed the Essex CCI* 3-Day event and soon after moved up to the Intermediate level.
From 1998 to 1999 Tracy was a working student for Denny Emerson at his farms in Vermont and North Carolina. Also in the summer of 1998, Tracy passed her HA and A Pony Club ratings.
Nick grew up in the Rhine River valley in Strasbourg France near the French-German boarder and learned to ride at a local barn which focused on dressage and jumping disciplines. After about 10 years of riding Nick moved to the US to attend college at Virginia Tech and did not resume riding again until he met Tracy in 2009.
In 2009 Nick bought a Draft/Paint cross named Picasso and together the two learned the sport of eventing competing at the BN level in 2011.
Nick currently owns and competes Patch a TB/Paint/Percheron cross.
